I don’t know about y’all but as much as I love Christmas time the gift situation stresses me out! Don’t get me wrong I LOVE to give my kids gifts. BUT I want those gifts to mean something and not just junk they play with for a week and then forget about as that ball drops into the new year.
The last couple years our home as gone through a slight change into only having things that bring us joy, long time joy, and that extends to the kids stuff. I tend to loosely stick to a something they want, need, wear, and read. Then of course Santa always brings something they want also. Here are my gift guides for babies, girls, and boys!
I love all the JellyCat stuffed animals but I just couldn’t pass up the flamingo and peacock this year. The ABC’s of space book set was just so cute and educational! Teething rattle and beanie (which matches mommy and sisters) are the perfect stocking stuffers. I love wooden toys and just couldn’t pass up this stacking rainbow 🌈 set. Last but not least the cutest rocking fawn.
This charade game will be perfect for Maddox’s stocking, she is so theatrical! She loves creating things, so this Kid Made Modern Jewelry Jam was a no brainer! We have the KMM arts and crafts box and it keeps her busy for hours! She just loves wearing my wedding rings and has been asking for her own diamond ring 💍 just like mommy’s of course. So when I found this stainless steel one on Amazon (for only $9!) I knew she had to have it! My children love learning things so her books this year are the Natural History plants and animals and 50 States. Going back to creating things, these magnatiles are so fun and she is getting the big box so the building will be endless! Finally the fort, Hayden already has a set but they fight over it and it doesn’t really build it big enough for two kids. So she will get her own and they can combine them to make even bigger forts! I love it because my chairs stay where they are suppose too, plus it’s much safer. 😂
I love gifts that encourage imagination, learning, and being outside! I just know Hayden will be tying knots into all kinds of things, but such a useful skill to learn! He has been wanting to learn how to play the guitar 🎸 so his big Santa 🎅🏼 gift this year is an actual guitar! I swear this kid will be an engineer or architect one day, and he loves learning how things work which is why this Engineering book is so amazing! It goes over all major inventions for the last 100 or so years. He is a very big artist and has been creating comic books, and Kid Made Modern has the coolest comic book kit. Both kids love to tell jokes, but truthfully their made up jokes aren’t quite jokes so I know he will love this LOL joke book! All Hayden has asked for are more LEGO sets, this Harry Potter Set is amazing!
That’s all folks! I hope this gives you some ideas for your kiddos!
